About BullionSpread
BullionSpread shows both sides of the physical gold and silver market. For each coin and bar, you see what online dealers will pay you (their bid), what they charge you (their ask), and the spread between them. The spread is the cost of a round trip: buy now, sell later.
Where the numbers come from
- Bids come from the prices dealers publish for buying metal back from you, compiled by FindBullionPrices. Today that covers five dealers: Bullion Exchanges, SD Bullion, Monument Metals, Hero Bullion and JM Bullion.
- Asks come from FindBullionPrices product pages, using the bank wire/ACH price. Card prices are shown where listed. Marketplace listings (eBay, Walmart) are left out.
- Spot comes from the free XAUS feed, with a fallback to the spot price shown on FindBullionPrices.
- We refresh once a day. Prices move all day, so always confirm the price with the dealer before you trade.
How we rank
Bids are ranked purely by price, highest first. Asks are ranked purely by price, lowest first. Spreads are ranked from tightest to widest. No dealer can pay to change a ranking.
Disclosure: how we may make money
Bids are never paid. No dealer pays us to appear on the sell side, and links to dealers’ sell pages are plain links.
Ask-side links may become affiliate links. We plan to join dealer affiliate programs. When we do, buying through an ask-side link may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you, and we’ll mark those links. A commission never changes the order of prices. Right now, every dealer link on this site is a plain link with no tracking.
What BullionSpread is not
We don’t buy, sell or hold metal, and this isn’t financial advice. A bid may come with a minimum order or other conditions. Those show in the “Min to sell” column.
